What is this all about?

So you might have come to this page and wondered what this is all about.

As a Christian who has grown up in Hispanic church culture all my life and have traveled all across the nation speaking in Hispanic churches, I have noticed that a lot of us are a lot alike.

Whether we like to shout, “Quien Vive!” in a service,

Or how we all love Marcos Witt,

Or how we like to place church members on Disciplina,

Or how we like to play the song Te Doy Gloria in as many different services as possible,

Or being serious about something Aunque no digan Amen.

This is about the Stuff Cristianos Like and taking a satirical approach to them and realizing how we can do better. This is about asking ourselves the question: Does the stuff we like ever get in the way of the God we love?

I believe that laughter is a gift from God and we all need to take the time to laugh about our silly habits in order to reveal some truths about our faith. Let’s examine our Christianity and strip away some of the habits we have formed.

I have to completely admit that this a latino knock-off of the website Stuff Christians Like by the brilliant Jon Acuff. He is a much better writer than I am and has inspired me to do the same for our Hispanic audience.

Each week I will be highlighting some different Stuff Cristianos Like hoping to inspire some of those out there. I hope you enjoy this website and I hope you don’t put me on Disciplina because of it.
